Golf and Disc Golf

It can be difficult to highlight the most captivating features of any courses or parks when relying on traditional maps, since trees and natural features prevent photos and drone photography from capturing the full topography and treescape. In truth many holes just "have to be played", or many park hikes just "need to be walked" to get a sense of their shape, design, or natural beauty. ZI3D is bridging this gap, capturing terrain in full 3D.

IT STARTS WITH AN ACCCURATE 3D RECONSTRUCTION

Courses with accurate topology and land features are rebuilt from the ground up, tree by tree, hill by hill, sand trap by sand trap. This Scarlett Woods recreation uses over 2000 photorealistic trees, with all course-relevant trees verified by on-site inspection for accuracy. 

FLY-THROUGHS

 

A detailed course map with topography and fly-through of each hole is a game changer for accentuating a terrain's natural features. This is a model of Dentonia Park, in Toronto, Canada, recreated for the Toronto Open Disc Golf Tournament of 2022.

BEYOND DRONE CINEMATOGRAPHY

Special videos make events special. No scene is too large or too small; from city-scale all the way down to leaves on trees. This is a promotional video made for a local Toronto glow-in-the-dark disc golf tournament. 

UNIQUE HOLE PRESENTATION

Highlight each hole with a focus cutout, accessible by video or web. Each hole gets a full 360-degree view at any height or angle.
